Hi chaps, I've had my GN pleco (l81) for7 weeks now.
And 'Rodders' is growing well already. I feed a diet of waffers and cockles evry other day and the odd bit of cucumber. 'Rodders fave food has to be the cockles as he latches onto them soon after they defrost. He is much fatter than when I first brought him home.
I have red that GN's have a bad rep for settling in. I have made weekly water changes since his arrivel and dosent seem to have botherd him of stressed him out.
Do you think 'Rodders' is all settled in and I'm past the dodgy peroid I've heard about?
Any more diet ideas?

Cockles for a pleco? Well thats somthing ive never heard of :)

Sounds like hes settled nicely.

My plecs love cockles and mussels too.

It is sounding good for your GN, just keep a close eye and he should be ok. Eating and growing are def. good signs!

Pics?

Getting a good picture of my GN might prove inpossible! As when the lights go on he goes back to his hide out in the ship wreck.
But I am ready and waiting to get a good picture :good:
SJ2K....... my plec loves cockles you should try it. My LFS sells them frozen for £2 and they last a few months.
