I get home from the barn yesterday and my mom meets me at the door looking really scared and says theres something wrong with pepper (my dog) so I go over to him and hes shaking, head tilting, looking really confused and cant stand up he keeps falling over. So I freak tell my mom to go call the vet and tell them we're on the way and wrap up pepper and get into the car with him, the whole time fearing the worst. After all he is 13 years old.

We get to the vet and they run a bunch of tests, take some blood, check his temp and everything. And come to the conclusion that he has something called geriatric vestibular disease. Which is common in older dogs and can come on extremely suddenly. The initial cause is still unknown but its a neurological disorder and causes loss of function, confusion, he doesn't know where he is, dizziness etc. Theres no meds they can give him it just has to work itself out of his system which on average takes up to 46 days.

The good new is that once a dog gets this and gets over it they very rarely ever come down with it again. So please everyone keep pepper in your thoughts and prayers until he gets better!

That sounds terrible...Glad you did the right thing and took him to a vet, I'm sure he'll get better :good:
Fingers are crossed for Pepper

I'll keep him in my prayers!
