Hello everyone

This my sound like a stupid question but i really dont know the answer to this. Can a guppy regrow its fin after it has been nipped to pieces? Or will it just stay as it is. Thanks to anyone that can help :dunno:

Cool :hyper: Im pleased to hear that. But i have just noticed red spots on the end of its fin maybe 3 or so does this indicate finrot? I hope not.. if so do i need to get treatment. Im currently treating for a mild case of ich does this matter? thanks for your quick reply :D

add some salt and raise the temp...unless you have plecos or something in the water it would be better to seperate it. if it is fin rot you can (if you know how) cut off the portion before it spreads. risk it wont grow back, but at least its not going to die

Sound tricky I might have to stick with the temp and salt idea thanks :D

I wouldn't try the "cutting off" part if you don't know how. I fixed my male guppies fin with salt, Melafix and frequent water changes.
Here's before and after pictures of my male Mercury: with fin rot
