Guppys Bullying Tetras? Tetras Have No Fins?

Hi guys.

We have a tank with 9 tetras in and we recently added 3 guppys.........and now the majority of the neon tetras have parts of their fins missing.....and one of the neons has hardly any fins left at all.

We think we need to get rid of the guppys?

Will the tetra's grow their fins back?

yes fish can grow fins back as long as the problem of why they got like that in the first place is sorted,
are you sure its the guppys and not the neons themselfs or fin rot? once you are sure whats happend here i would add some melafix or if its fin rot some meds. ive never had any guppys attack my neons in this mannor. good luck all the best Donna

Hi I once had a female guppy that attacked and killed fish. She had to be removed to another tank and gave birth shortly after. If thats any help though it was very unusual behaviour.
