I have a 5.5 gallon tank with two male guppies in it.  I am about to run out of food so I started to transition the old food to new food today by giving them an equal portion of current and future tropical flakes I will be giving them.  Then a few minutes ago I saw one of my guppies go haywire!  He flashed around the tank like a lighting bolt jumped out of the water for a brief moment and hit the side of the tank.  I think it might have something to do with the new food I gave them this morning.  Can someone please suggest what I should do to help my poor fish!?!?

Thanks,

KV

no i dont think thats the case keep in mind guppies are very energenic and that may be why give us an update to see if he is still like that

He now seems to be very tired and his is not moving very much like he usually does.   He is very jumpy and he seems to be breathing rather quickly.

It won't be the food, are there other fish in the tank that may have scared him?

Probably it just got all hyperactive for a little and is tierd. But if not well maybr go back to the old food if you changed brand. But i dont think it was the food.

Okay thanks.  I will keep all of your suggestions in mind.

Thank you,

KV
