Guppy with red mark

Hello everyone.

Yesterday I had a female give birth, and today she seems to have a red mark near her eye. Any ideas what this could be? She has not eaten since yesterday morning when she gave birth, and from what I have read this is normal. She has been seperated from any males and should have no reason to be stressed out. She is in her orginal tank, the only tank I have ever had her in, so no change in water or anything like that. Anyhow, tahts about all the info I have, but near her eye, she has a mark, just a bit smaller then her eye, and it is red. There or no other fish other then 3 platties with her, so I don't think she has been nipped or anything like that. Maybe it is simply a scratch?

Any suggestions? All thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Well, i have kept guppies for about 5 years and that could simply be minor skin problem, keep a close eye on it and if it grows larger or the guppie's usual habbits are erotic and different, post another thread that explains the symptons and ill surely go further into this as well as other members might have had the same problem.

Can you post test results in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, is it a red patch near the eye, look over the body for any other marks on her, red patches usually mean the fish has septicemia.

Wilder all water tests have come out fine, I Just recently brought her home and she gave birth the next day. So I assume she had soemthing wrong with her when I got her, as she died yesterday.
