My 1 guppy’s tail has become ragged. There is no nipping going on. I have an all guppy tank and they are quite peaceful. I am wondering if he is sick? He has been hanging around the top of the tank lately and seems to be wanting more air but then other times I check on him he seems totally fine and swimming at the bottom and around like usual. He is one of my oldest guppy in the tank so maybe age?? He is blue with a beautiful fin and my favorite so I am concerned.
Water conditions are all good & all other fish seem healthy.
I have attached some pics & video

Fin rot is almost always caused by poor water quality, so I'd recommend you increase the amount of water you're changing and how often you're doing them 😊 often that's all it takes to get clear it up

I can't tell from these pics if it's fin rot or not. To claim this, we need a non blurry picture of the edges of the tail. But yes, age can certainly be of influence that fins get ragged. For the strength of the fin tissue will get less when they hit old age.
