hello,
It seems as though my little guppy is in a little bit of trouble. She has had about 3-4 sets of fry and she’s quite old. I came to my tank today and say her struggling to swim so I put her in a floating fry box so she won’t be bothered by other fish. I looked at her some more and she had this red ball coming(i assume this is a prolapse) as well as some poop. The poop is red, like usual. But it becomes stringy half way, does she have a parasite? Is it contagious? What do I do?

Can you post a picture? If it is a prolapse there isn't much to be done. Epsom salts and antibiotics are about all you can do. Sometimes the problem corrects itself.

Often times prolapses are caused by constipation, trouble spawning, and sometimes internal parasites.
