my guppy is staying on the side of the glass towards the top and hiding behind the air tank she isnt floating her fins are moving but she is not going anywhere she keeps compressing her head towards her head in the fetile position she is not eating she has been doing this for about 10 minutes help :hyper: :hyper:

well try to put her in a breeder net if you have one or take out all of the fish that is in that tank once the guppy is gone giving birth remove her
so that the fry wont get eaten then feed ur fry crushed/ fine / flakes, or bbs for about 3-4 weeks until the fry get bigger

If putting her in a breeder net doesn't help (e.g. she looks stressed out, darting here n there), then u can put her in a seperate tank (like if u have set up a fry tank if u r expecting them) so u can minimize the stress.

When my guppy gave birth, she's stuck to the inlet of the filter at the top, not moving much as well. Hope all goes well!! :flowers:

she has stopped and is back to normal she is in a tank by her self how long do they normally go into labor before delivering?

I'm not sure to be honest. But I noticed my guppy staying there for a couple of days b4 I saw frys.

she has been having her "contractions" back and forth and her black spot now looks pinkish

I put her in a breeding tank VERY carefully!!! Hopefully she will deliver and won't go through a lot of stress.

i put her in her own fish tank 1.66 us gal and she hasnt delivered yet im worried i am going away for the weekend and am afraid my mom is going to let her have them she keeps joking about just letting her have them i have put in 2 plastic plants and 2 ornaments so the fry have several places to hide how many fish do guppys usually have? :)
