I have a 10 gallon tank with : 4 neon tetra, 7 glowlight tetra, 2 female guppys, 1 male guppy. One female guppy had her babies about a week ago. ( I didn't know she was even pregnant) Had just bought them the day before. So I left the fry in the 10 gallon and floated some plastic plants, I've counted about 6 or 7 that have survived.
Here's my problem. I just saw the first signs of ich on my neons and one of the female guppys has white poo ( internal parasite). The owner of the pet shop down here gave me Para Guard and said it would work on both of these parasites. the bottle only says for external parasites. the name brand is Seachem. So I think I need to buy something else for the internal parasites???? I'm debating on whether or not to move the guppy fry to a non- cycled 2 1/2 gallon tank. Any suggestions. Is this a good or bad idea?? any comments would be appreciated. water tests fine.

I don't know about treating those particular deseases but i would say from my experience with fry they tend to survive better in a tank that is been treated than a tank that is not cycled...I have always have fry of some sort all year round which means that every now and then when desease strikes the tanks they end up getting medicated along with the rest of the fish.
I always use medications by "Interpet" who have a huge range of meds available and most lfs's stock them- if you have to treat the tank with the fry in it i would water the medication down a bit to make it easier for them but the best medications available i would for this kind of stuff are Interpet ones and my fry seem to be able to handle them fine when such things occur.

If you do plan on moving the fry to the 2.5 gallon then make sure you use water and any filter media you can when you setup the 2.5.
