Hey guys! So I'm doing this experiment to figure out if keeping guppy fry with other adult fish will stunt their growth. So far I'm not sure if it's working or not...
I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this happening before and has seen an article saying that this is true?
If you have could you post it here please? :)
Thanks so much!

keeping guppy fry with other adult fish should not stunt their growth as long
as you are feeding them the fry will compete with adults you will quite often find
when fry are kept with adults they grow faster.

I always keep my guppies in a colony setting. I am not a guppy breeder as such so I don't constantly select individual parent fish. I can tell you that the fry who survive in my tank will completely replace the adult population in less than 3 months. I sell my entire adult population about once every 3 months at club auctions to keep my breeding population young. A month later, the remaining fish look nearly mature and I could remove all of the apparent adults and still not see a decline in vigor or beauty in that tank.
I hope you are able to determine something with your experiment but be aware that a young population of guppies will very quickly become a mature population as long as they are well fed and the water is kept pristine.
