guppy confusion

Help. i am rather new to raising fish , i especially know very little about fry first hand becouse i haven't ever raised any.
all that aside i have reached a problem. one week ago today i found four babies in the tank. i think that the four cory cats ate them . four days ago i got a pair ( a second female and my only male.) and added them to the tank. Well due to the loss of my first fry i made a breeder tank and began to cycle it last week so it could be ready the next time.
the thing is today i found two fry .
the new female was prego but still looks to be
the other female (the old one) is pooping everywhere and is nipping at all the other fish.
is it possible that she could have fish a week apart.
please help i am at a loss.

Yes it is possible. They can drop them over long time periods. The cories will eat the fry unfortunately but don't worry you will have plenty more in the coming months
