last week i bought 15 guppies from the local pet shop, 7 females and 8 males which i added to the 3 males that i already had... the same night 1 of the females gave birth to approx 60 babies, i put them into a nursery tank and 3 days later they all died.... to make it worse the adults have been dying as well.. the tank wiv the adults in was a thriving tank before this and had been water treated... has any one got any ideas of what could of happened... my friend also bought guppies at the same time and they dont look well either... oh yeah and does anyone know how long dalmation mollies are preg for???

I`m thinking it`s not a good idea to add a whole bunch of fish to one tank at the same time

could you tell us a little more about your tanks? sizes, water parameters (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate specifically)? how long has the tank been set up and did you cycle it? 15 fish is a lot to add to a tank all at once, it could have caused the tank to recycle, but with out knowing more, we can't help too much!

Bad batch of guppys could be a bacteria infection.

Have they got whitespot.

no white spots now but their bodies r loosing colour and going white then they are dyin, have moved them into a fresh tank which is all treated and they're still dyin only 5 left now :( what ever is wrong its not effecting the sucking loach, pleccy or sword tail....

Going pale is stress not whitespot, what are your test results in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, what size tank, how many fish, and which type.
