 I have a 16 litre tank with 5 cloud minows, five noen tetras and two male guppies. Is this a good combination and can i afford to put one more male guppy in? I do not want to breed fish! Also if i had female guppies i would not be able to keep up the required level of care for fry, so this just would not be fair. :-(

imo if i did the calculations correctly 16 litres= 4 gallons? If this is correct which i think it is, then i would have to say that one more guppy won't hurt as long as you monitor your water conditions and do regular water changes, but i wouldn't put anything else in there as it is a bit overcrowded now.

yes, 16 liters is roughly 4.22 gallons US. that said, you are quite overstocked, so dont add any more fish.
normally, these fish would be fine together, but you really need to either upgrade to a bigger tank (a 10 gal/37 liter would suffice), or downsize your population a bit. just my opinion of course.

Also, another reason not to add a female guppy. The males will kill it. Not intentionally, but they'll try to mate so incessently that they'll kill her from exhaustion. With guppies it's a good rule to have two females for every male, not vice-versa.
