Done a fishless cycle, got a 27 UK Litre tank

Brought 8 male guppies, 3 neon tetras

Is this enough?

And what other species could i mix in?

Congratulations on finishing your fishless cycle Emily.
At 27 litres you are filled up. There is no room for more fish in a tank that size.

Just a couple of things.

Firstly i would not added all the fish in one go, this is to allow the good bacteria time to grow instead of being fully loaded all in one go.
I would off added half at first then 7-10 days later the other half.

Also Neon's don't tend to do to well in new water once the water has setteled after 4-6 months they tend to do a lot better.

I have a slightly different view.

If emily did indeed follow our RDD fishless cycling article here on TFF and did the full cycle (qualified the cycle by reaching the point where 5ppm ammonia is added and then dropped to zero ammonia and nitrite within 12 hours, and then this is watched and repeated for a week) then I would fully expect her to be able to do a full to slightly over-full stocking without seeing any ammonia or nitrite show up on her follow-up tests.

Emily, it would be very helpful if you let us know if you did "qualify" your cycle as mentioned above (or if you didn't wait quite that long, then how much) and then whether or not you see any ammonia or nitrite showing up in your tests for the first week or so after the new full stocking.

Having said that, I will say that I agree that it is quite unusual to actually see anyone really doing the full stocking right away after fishless. Its true, most have decided on a subset of their stocking plans. I also agree that many say to wait on neons, although the most common advice I've seen is to wait 6 months, not 7-10 days. Probably no one really knows and it varies with the fish themselves.

If emily has good filtration and turn-over and does good gravel-cleaning and other maintenance, I would think the slight over-stocking would be ok, although it should be closely tested and watched in the beginning.

Are you kidding?!?!?

You tell them to look in a saltwater category for more fish.
