Has anyone tried to keep guppies with cherry shrimp? I've read here someonhas cherry shrimp in their community tank but I've also been advised to not keep shrimp with fish in general.

I want to separate my male and female guppies to stop them breeding as the tank is becoming overstocked. I'm thinking should I put the females with the cherry shrimp or will they eat the shrimp babies?

It is my first shrimp tank, 30litre and they've done so well. I've found a fair few deaths but the breeding has been healthy and babies are growing. I don't want any accidents.

Having said this, I'm not sure how but I randomly found a transparent shrimp in my goldfish tank during a water change and it must've got in there maybe when I transferred some water lettuce from the shrimp tank. But I was surprised to see he was alive and kicking and goldfish had not eaten it!

So really I'm consulting for experience and likelihood of guppies with cherries.
