At what age do you think I can safely intoduce other fish to my fry tank without them getting gobbled up..

Ideally I would like to place the guppies from the hospital tank in the 5 gallon when they are better and after a period of quarantine to ensure the popeye does not return.

My fry are still a bit small anyway being born on December 27th, they are just shy of a full month old.

My guppies incidently are doing great, the two fish that were afflicted with popeye are almost back to normal, at least the swelling in the eye on the male is gone, and the female who seemed to get it worse is down quite a bit... The two unaflicted guppies remain unaflicted. Tomorrow is the last day of treatment so I will do one last round of Maracyn I and on Sunday do a good water change and sit back and wait to see what happens with them.

My 10 gallon now being minus 5 fish also seems to be improving. The water has gone crystal clear over night and all the fish are more active and seem over all happier which is my reasoning for not wanting to put the guppies back in there after they have healed.

So ideally what age should the fry be before introduced to other fish?

Oh and a side question... Does anyone know if the antibiotics can have an effect on the preggo fishies... 3 of the guppies were gravid and ready to drop anyday... one is now skinner than anything but not a fry in sight... the other two although still quite fat, the gravid spot keeps disapearing... will be gravid one day and not the next... Its really weird.

when they are bigger than the mouth of your biggest fish... ie ages if mine are anything to go by.
