Hey, i release Betty at the same time i released Wooky for Kaden. Gulliver has the biggest nest i've ever seen and has been chasing her but she won't submit. She's a bit torn up but not nearly as bad as Wooky was after only 2 days. I don't know what to do, poor Gully wants her so bad. Is there anything i can try to speed things up a bit? Take out some of her hidey spots?
Those 2 are gonna have gorgeous babies with her being gold and gully being yellow.

i took betty out after 5 days, i don't know why nothing happened - Gully really wanted her.
should i condition again and try again? or is she "just not into him"?

When you put her in, did you put her in a vase container seperate from the male? That way they can check each other out, he can build his bubble nest, etc. Look for vertical stripes on her, that would be an indication that she wants to mate. I'm not sure how it goes with fish, if they sometimes are just not into their mates- I've never bred bettas before but I have found that even with the trio of livebearers, the females did not always get pregnant even though everyone insists they breed like crazy no matter what.

She was in her holey bowl in the tank for 2 days but she has a white body and gold fins so i wouldn't be able to tell if she had breeding bars if she did.
Gully made a mother of all bubble nests so... i dunno
