Guinea Pig Hutch

I tried searching for this but because pig is fewer than 4 letters it wouldnt let me, anyway:

During the summer (now) my room is far to hot for me to live in during the night never mind during the day (very small window and no air conditioning, rooms in the loft). Seeing as it sto hot I now and then take my pig outside during the day but the cage is to big to take down unless I take it apart so if there is no one in the house he has to live in the heat of my room (right now its 31C and its 20 past 9 at night).

Been wanting to build a hutch for him out the back, well was goin to buy one and I want a good one not a cheap one that doesnt have much space for him. I saw a 2 storey one in pets at home that I realy like but its £160 and Icant afford that So does anyone know of any good DIY sites on how to build one, what I need and how to do it etc. Id like a good one with alot of space but dont really want to go above £50 due to money being really tight for me at the moment.

Not sure where you are but there is a few sellers on ebay sell the 2 story ones and for a guinea pig the 2 story 3ft would be ample big enough if you could collect it would keep the cost down

this site is great http/www.guineapigcages.com/ the cubes are available to buy in argos and you can pick up the plastic sheeting pretty cheap too. mine are built into a brick shed and i have mesh over the door so the shed door is always open in summer. though all is about to change in the next few weeks as my boyfriend is kicking me out

That sucks. My girlfriend doesnt live with me but if she did and anything happend I wouldnt kick her out (unless she cheating or done something really bad but thats a diff storey). I'm sure youll do fine though. Will be better off without him cause he doesnt sound worth it if hes kicking you out anyway.

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna look into that site. I'm more interested in building it myself (dont know why, suppose I kind of want to customise it a little but u no).
