Addicted and in Therapy
Wahhhhooookie! Yesterday I took a trip down to the other store to get some meds for sick fishies in the 10. They didn't have what I wanted, and I knew they had it at Walmart, so on the way home checked stopped there. You can all guess what I found....
ROWS AND ROWS OF BETTAS! AHHHHH!
They were having a special "Valentine's Day" sale on bettas, so they had a ton of them. The really good news, that all you betta lovers will like to hear, is that they had them in cups about 3 times the size of a normal betta cup. It may just be temporarily for the sale, but still, they had TONS more space to swim in. Yey.
They actually had crowntails, and I found the most beautiful boy that I HAD to have... he's blue and white pastel with a light head. He's just so cute - young and small. The thing is, I think he may end up being double pronged, right now his fins are very small, but I think I may see the beginnings.
Next on the list.... mother walked up with.... brace yourself (I had to)... A DOUBLE TAILED FEMALE! OMG!!! I almost keeled over right there I was so excited. I've never even seen a double tail in person. And now I HAVE one! WHOO HOO. She's got the normal brownish body of a female betta, with bright red fins.
And of course when I was looking at the other females (they were hidden in a different place)... I found a bright greenish/blue gal with red. She's just stunning, prettiest gal I've seen around here, since they are pretty rare. I am not happy with their current habitat, but it's ok for now (divided small tank). My mom was with me and wouldn't let me get them if I got seperate tanks for everyone. The boy is in a gallon or so bowl.
Update: Girls ate bloodworms today, boy hasn't yet, but he's pretty stressed and shy, so he really really likes to hang out in his pot. Anyways, sorry so long, but I am psyched! I can't take good pics, but I'll try to get some with the webcam so you can get the idea.
