I didnt know where to post this so i posted it here. We have a few flatheaded gudgeons in our pond that got caught in a shrimp net. They are healthy and are eating well. They are about 5cm long(i think). I was wondering if you have a care sheet on how to look after them in a tank?

I tried google but it only told me about how they live in the river. I want a thing to tell me what they eat, ph, temp, tank size ect.

It's quite likely no one has posted an aquarium care sheet on this species, since they're an endemic Aussie fish. Not exportable for the trade, limited interest in keeping them in general. I did see one reference to them doing well in aquariums, but they will eat smaller tankmates. I presume they're a predatory fish, it may be possible to get them to take flakes or pellets. Otherwise, live or frozen foods like guppies and bloodworms would likely be suitable.

These are to small for them to eat guppies. Ive been feeding them tiny earth worms and they are very happy. I have mud and weedy stuff for substrate and a few rocks and keeping the tank cool. Maybe i should research them and write up my own care sheet.
