Grubs?

I was wondering if I could feed grubs (like June Beetle grubs) to fish or not. I do not know how dirty they are, how messy, if they are fatty, or if they lack in vitamins and minerals or not. Has anyone attempted to feed grubs to fish? (not like Cichlids or anything like that, but community type fish, and Bettas?)

If it's not a food source they would normally encounter I would not risk it.
