Growth in rainbow fish

I’ve noticed a growth on one of what I think is a female rainbow she’s been in my tank for 4 weeks now. Can anyone help ive attached an image none of the other rainbows have any signs of the same thing

The female Melanotaenia boesemani has a gill tumour. There is no cure and some people think they are associated with fish TB.

You can try adding salt (2 heaped tablespoons per 20 litres for 2-4 weeks) but it probably won't help. When it becomes too big and interferes with the fish's swimming, feeding and breathing, euthanise it.

Ok thanks you for your reply I’ve since been to my local aquatics shop and the chap in there told me the exact same thing.. that’s sad news but I guess if there’s not a lot I can do then I’ll just monitor it thanks again!
