for some reason the fish in my tank just dont seem to grow!

the only visable 'growers' are my coloumbian tetras and 1 silver dollar(the other hasnt grown anywhere near as much!)

the rest dont seem to have grown very much at all especialy the angles andtherams ...no groth at all

for the last 6 months ive ben working away so im only home at weekends ( my girlfriend looks after them during the week)so i would have thought i would see groth as i dont see them every day?

any thoughts

What size are the rams? If they were near full grown when you got them, then they wouldnt get much bigger, they only reach 3" max anyway.

What are you feeding, how much and how often? How often are water changes as clean water helps growth too. Some fish grow faster than others and often you dont really notice the growth unless you look back on photographs when they were younger.

I've found that angels are relatively fast growing. My newest angel I've only had for 3 months. When I bought him he was about the size of a quarter (body size not counting the fins) and now he's larger than a dollar coin and much thicker. This is in a tank that gets one 50% waterchange a week. I'm sure that if I were trying to grow him out by doing multiple weekly waterchanges and feeding a varied diet of high quality foods, he would grow even faster.

If it's the tank in your signature, you may just need to feed a little more and increase your waterchange frequency to get them to grow.

With more regular water changes and good food twice a day your fish should grow. How big is the tank what are the tank mates? How many water changes do you do? You should see notice they are bigger with in a month. I know my severum is growing like a weed. Some fish slow down growth once they are half way to full size. Like my blue acara grew really fast for the first few months now she is 4" and is not growing as fast.
