Growing out Bichir Question!?

So I recently bought a Delhezi Bichir that’s like 4 inches big. I want to put him in my 125 with my Oscar’s and senegals. But since he’s small and my Oscar’s are like 7-8 inches I need to grow him out. I currently have him in a 20 gal high, but how long can I keep him in there before I need to take him out ?
