I will try growing glosso with an 11W fluorescent lamp that came with the tank and I also added an 8W arcadia fluorescent lamp (that is pink to promote plant growth). The tank is 19L, substrate is Seachem Flourite and I will be adding CO2 and all of the micro and macro nutrients needed.

Do you believe the amount of light is adequate?

That's around 3.8 watts per gallon so that should be fine.

Hope you are adding / CO2 / fertilising or you'll have a 19 litre algae tank!

***EDIT***

I will be adding CO2 and all of the micro and macro nutrients needed.

I didn't read your post very well did I?

Also with that much light on a small tank, you need to keep an eye on the temperature of the water.

BTW the WPG rule breaks up with small aquariums

Glosso in a 19 liter (5 gal) aquarium with 19 watts might not cut it... if you want low profile glosso.... Just my opinion but it will grow
