GROWING BRINE SHRIMP

I just purchased a shrimp hatchery the other day and want to start feeding my fish this. Yesterday I set up a 1 gallon to transfer them into after they hatch. This morning it looks like almost of them are dead..what happened?

yes it had ready to use packets with it.
