Ok, my water started going green, and i read up on it and was suggested to get what is called as Green water control or green algae control

I got green water control, and according to this if the water is not crystal clean after 14 days i should repeat the treatment, but to be honest it has been about 12 days since i treated the water, and i havent even seen the slightest change, can anyone explain?

:(

Do you have a nitrate test kit? What's the nitrate reading of your tank?

(That may be the problem.)

No, affraid not... same with pH testing, i dont have one of those too, they seem pretty expensive around my local area, ranging up at 20 quid a kit, i could buy i small tank and a full set up with that amount of money...

I might go about this another way though, i do have a 2 foot tank, it only has four fish in (Two adult red finned swordtails and two guppy babies that are maturing) Once the smaller guppy of the two is big enough, i will use that tank as a stand by as well as my hex tank which is a 2 gallon, in which i will put all the fish into those two tanks for a over night, while i do a full sweep down and clean out with the big tank, that has this problem, and should have it fully set up and clean, and safe by the next morning...

I think it may be due to my fish not wanting any more food, see i feed them twice a day laterly, because some of the fish eat until there bellies are truely showing, but some seemed to have gone of eating so much and the food is wasted, so i am going to feed them less, but its that food that they havent eaten that could be turning the water green

;)

You should try to fix the root of the problem - you are getting algae bloom because either you have too much nitrates (overstocked, too much feeding, not enough water change), too much light or/and too much CO2 (not likely).

In my case, it was the light, so I kept it off (except during feeding time) for about 2 weeks in a row, and did daily water change of about 10% (along with regular 30% weekly water change). Now the tank is clear, and I reduced from 15h/day to about 9h/day...

So far, so good...
