i have a 40 gallon community tank thats been running for 8 months now. about 2 months ago i started to get green water. i think maybe the light had been on a little bit to long on a few occasions. for 2 months now ive been trying to get rid, but it keeps getting stronger and stronger. it's now so green u can only just about see to the back of the tank. ive scoured the net and tried every "solution" i can find. their food has been dropped to bear minimum, light is on 9hrs a day only. i added plants, did frequent water changes, changed filter media to filter wool packed tight, added a new green x to the filter and tried green away ( not all at once obviously, this is over the last 2 months) but its still getting worse! i get my water tested at my local fish centre and they said its fine, no problems, sorry i didn't ask for the numbers. ive actually got 2 filters running on it at the moment to try to clear it, a fluvel 4+ and a eheim ecco 2234. anyone any ideas??? would appriciate any suggestions!! thanks
