well, after much thinking, and measureing for a spot, i've decided to get two little american green tree frogs (hyla cinerea). figure if i can keep them, then eventually i can move on to other amphibs and reptiles.
over the weekend i purchased an 18 gal tall tank (they recommend 10 gal per frog, and tall tanks are better as tree frogs are arboreal). will be ordering some vines for him and some reptile carpet. bought some silk plants to give them some greens, will be looking into some safe live plants as well.
will post some shots of the tank as i get it set up and of course, as soon as i get the little green guys, will post some shots of them as well. :D

Hi MAM :)

I'm happy to hear that you are getting the frogs.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your pictures too.

That's great! They are so much fun. I look forward to seeing pictures of your tank when you get it all put together. :)

as far as i kno is 20 gals for each one..... well i'll tell u 2 are going to be monsters eatin ;) my brother has one of those frogs...and everyweek we have to go out and buy her about 30 medium sized crickets..... why? becuz she eats it like snacks! obviously going out to the lps is no problem with me cuz i luv petstores :D antoher thin you need to add to the tank is water...so ill recommend you some reptile pots like this

cuz they really like to wash themselves or chill out in water

also some rocky cave specials for crickets so they go there and stay the night :) they like to have hiding spaces thats why my brother choosed somethin called bulch or somethin like that.....some gelwater to feed the crickets and calcium and y maybe be forgettin somethin so if you need anythin dont hesitate on PM

hope that helped :)

edited; i think reptile carpet it could be a little bit hard on their sticky fingers im not sure.......

thanks for the extra tips dolores. actually, everything i've read said to use the lizard carpet, if i don't use a natrual type soil set up, since many of the other substrates out there can be easily swallowed by then when eating crickets. thta and its much easier to keep clean.

oh anytime if you need anythin just let me kno :) i like helping :)

yeah you are right, i never tried lizard carpet myself, but it looks like kinda hardy
then get some "caves" for the crickets :)
