Green tipped barb

Hi I have a green tipped barb which is pointing its snout upwards - but not gulping air - fanning its fins quickly. It does this for a while then goes back to swimming about. Is this normal??

my tiger barbs do the same thing sometimes. almost like they are admiring the lights or something. i'm new at this, but they seem to be fine. other than that they act perfectly normal. now and then they also point downward in kind of the same mellow state. what does everyone else think?
