So my Green Spotted Puffer AKA Mr. Puffs is sick or at least I'm pretty darn sure. I've been searching the net for info on what might be wrong but have yet to find anything closely relating to his symptoms. I've had him for a good 2 years now and he's always been healthy and happy and so cute! About a week ago he seemed to be acting a little strange like maybe kind of listless and now just within the past few days he's stared swimming around and looking mostly normal again but when I watch him he seems to be swimming aimlessly and bumping into things and he will stair at the food I put in like he wants to eat it soooo bad and then just not eat. He's so skinny... he use to eat as much as I could put in and be totally fat and happy. =(

I'm a bad fish lady as I bought him from my local walmart cause I just couldn't help myself and really knew nothing about them. Anyway found out he was brackish and shouldn't be fed flake food a couple weeks after having him so sense then he's been in at least mostly proper conditions. Though I've sense he's gotten sick found out they need snails to keep there teeth down and his staple diet of freeze dried blood worms may not be very good for him. Ugh and oh wail I'm confessing I really should check the water parameters more often but I don't. D=

Anyway the most recent water change was about a week ago when I noticed he was acting weird did it at %50 cause he was acting funny, added salt to the proper level and I dunno.

What is your water like? Freeze dried anything should only really be an occasional treat. If he isn't eating, he probably can't because of his teeth. You may need to trim them yourself, and then feed him snails every few days afterwards. If you go to YouTube and look up puffer fish teeth trimming, there are a lot of good videos that will help you!
