green pods

today i have been looking at some of my liverock and i have found what look like little green pods. they are not bubbles so i have ruled out the algae bubbles. it is like little stems? any idea what they are?? im afraid i cant get any fotos yet.

sounds like a form of macro algae but without photos its hard ot get an ID sorry )
