Hello!! For two weeks now... the water in my tank has been green and murky!! I've tried everything... water changes, checking ph and ammonia levels, and i even bought a new filter just in case my old one was broken. I have a 20 gallon tank with gravel, 1 molly, 2 tetras, and a cory. I am using a Whisper Power Filter. I djust don't understand how the water is sooo green!! And the green just doesn't lie on the surface of the water... the water itself is green. I cannot see my fish unless they swim to the front of the tank!! Help!! What is wrong?

Yup sounds like algae to me too.
You don't have any algae eaters in your tank do you. It may be a wise idea to get a few that stay small like otos or some of the smaller pleco species once you have the water problem sorted out. You could also invest in one of those tank algae cleaners to help clean the walls of your tank.
Good luck

I doubt algae eaters would be of much help here, as the algae is in the water. Can you check phosphate and nitrate levels? Also, as LoveMyOscar said, is it near a window? How long is the light left on, and how many watts?

A possible solution is to cover the entire tank with a piece of cloth for several days. Your fish will be ok, but the algae should clear off.
