Green Hedge

I just bought my first live plant for my 20 gallon DP setup called green hedge...when i do a google search it comes up as aquarium AND garden plants,will it live...I bought it from petsmart in the planted tank they have.

NO it will NOT live. It is at best a bog plant.

It won't hurt your fish, and in fact will probably be about 3-4 months underwater before it starts showing signs of dying. I did the same thing, bought Cherry Hedge thinking it was an aquarium plant. After I found out, I took it out and my grandparents planted it in their outdoor fishpond, and it's growing quite well. The roots need to be submerged, but the leaves need air.
