how do i get rid of it?
ive only noticed a small bit on a piece of live rock.
my phosphate level is at 0.08 thanks for any info :good:

grr, hair algae my old Nemesis!
might want a PO4 reactor...
most yellow tangs will eat it...
my sea urchin loves the stuff... rid my tank of hair algae infact!
my crabs ignore the stuff...
check out my journal my tank was a lawn of hair algae lol
you should also try and remove what u can by hand... hair algae may look ugly.. but it is removing extra po4 from ur tank at the same time.. so its sorta in its self a PO4 remover! if u can remove it before it dies off then u rid yourself of that Po4.. but if u let it die off the bad nutrients will just end up back into your tank.

Do you plan on getting more LR, seems low for the tank size?

yeah i plan on getting more around about 25 kg :good:

Well I'd definitely start with a phosphate remover and more LR, then I'd look into skimming and natural predators :)
