Is this an actual thing, because it looks like just a neon that is dyed green

The Green Fire is Aphyocharax rathbuni, they were most often called Red Wedge Tetras back then. They used to be quite common in the hobby, but I haven't seen any for years now. Nice little things but sensitive to poor water conditions.
