Hello all,

On my latest visit to my local Maidenhead I was looking for some fish to fill out my tank. I had a short list of sparkling gourami, threadfin rainbow or a small species of rasbora - basically whichever I liked the look of the best to compliment my established group of (very fat) cherry barbs in a planted tank.

One of the tanks had green eye rasbora, the fella I chatted to said they had been sent in lieu of another species that was not available at the time and he'd never seen them but that best advice was to treat them like harlequins or any other smallish rasbora. Basically, they are peaceful, schooling and very pretty.

So I am now the owner of 10 of these little fellas. Only around 6mm-1cm long at the moment, no bigger than large fry but they are feeding well on frozen daphnia and crushed flake.

Does anyone else keep these?

cheers

Mark

I've had them in the past (Rasbora dorsiocellata), nice little fish, quite hardy
and a good addition to any community where they are not viewed as food.
