i was at my cousins birthday party at our restaurant about a week ago and in the midst of the party my girlfriend and i got into a fight.. she got me so angry i just had to leave so i drove off. didnt know where i was going but i was passing one of my LPS and i figured what the heck let me just stop by.

blahblahblah browsing the fish isles and ive been thinking i wanted to add more stock to my barren 55 gallon.. browsing and browsing and i saw this wonderful looking catfish. fell in love, had to have him. so i bought him..that day i brought home a spotted raphael catfish.

i bought him at probably 2.5 - 3 inches, much bigger than the bloodfin tetras and corydoras in there already. before i brought him home everynight i would feed the tetras their flakes or blood worms what ever i felt like giving them that night at the same time dropping a couple of algae wafers in a cup of water and letting them soak for a little. after the tetras were done feasting i would shut all the lights off and wait about 15 minutes then drop in the wafers for the corys. if i left the lights on the tetras would devour the wafers and not even let them go to the bottom for the corys.

now being that i have the catfish and hes nocturnal i still do the same however now instead of the tetras being greedy now the catfish is greedy and eats all the wafers before the corys get to them..

what can i do to possibly solve this problem..i dont want my corys going hungry and starving to death. or should i not worry and just let the fish deal with it??

i would put a slice of cucumber in mate. :good:

what would the slice of cucumber do exactly? and strange because i was going to do that anyway because apparently i have gotten a magical snail in my tank that has arrived out of nowhere

net that and flush it its most likely a pest snail but the cucumber if done correctly will sit at the bottom and will last a while longer than the algae wafers. :good:
