i figured if i attached a pump in line with my gravel vac and put a small homemade filter also inline with the vac and then had a hose coming from the other end of the filter putting the filtered water back into the tank
this way you dont have to do a water change very often and it makes the whole process much easier
i could also just have one end going into the intake pipe of my HOB filter
however i need to find a pump that is powerfull enough to force water through the filter at a somewhat high speed so the water being sucked up would live the gravel up with it but only enough to pull the waste from under the gravel
i have a small submersible fountain pump that only puts out about 30gph which ive modified to work inline with the vac but its not powerful enough
so my question is does anyone know where i can get a pump that puts out at least 600gph for extremely cheap
im talking below $10 cheap
