I bought a koi swordtail that ( I think ) has a gravid spot on her belly. Wondering when she will have fries and when to put her into a breeding tank

It's a gravid spot. Lol. Some livebearers have them all the time mate. Does it look particularly fat? You can normally tell with swordtails as they blow right up. The way I tell is by looking at their back end. When it is square and the birthing tube seems pretty obvious then I move them into the breeding tank then remove them afterwards. Birth can be a pretty drawn out thing, 2 or 3 hours.
