god question...i'm guessing not ....i have babies that are about 4 weeks and they have gravid spots...../

i have seen a gravid spot on a fish thats not pregnant but it is very faint. if they are pregnant it will be very dark and visible hope this info helps good luck

The gravid spot is actually the fry's eyes inside the female guppy. Obviously in a fish that it is not pregnant there will be no gravid spot. The thing many people observe is that guppies don't drop all their fry in just one day but usually over a period of up to a week. In this week the next fry will also be starting to develop... so its an ongoing cycle but if a female is left unmated there will be no gravid spot.

also about your four week question they can have babies when there four weeks old they just wont have that many
