Gravel...

I was just wondering if my gravel is too deep. I have a 10 gallon tank, and the bottom has two large bags of gravel covering it... about 1.5-2" worth of gravel. Is that too deep? Also, I am thinking of switching it out to sand, how deep would that need to be?

that is just fine for gravel. if you want a planted tank I'd add more even. 3-4" If you want to add sand, try just adding with the gravel. the mixture looks very nice and the gravel in the sand will help with anaerobic spots in the sand.

really?! Wow! I thought it would be way too deep.. hehe. shows how much I know... I like the idea of adding the sand into the tank as it is... I will just have to make sure I clean it pretty well first right? Any suggestions?
