Im planning to get a couple of L333 but I wanted to ask you guys if the gravel might be too sharp for them. :X It feels sharp, but Ive had corys in there for over a year and their barbels are intact and healthy. Any help appreciate? :)

Gravel can be done and generally ok, ive kept plecs in the past with no problems. I personally prefer sand, less harsh on there undersides and they prefer to a have a little dig for food which gravel may cause a few issues.

If it were me i would have sand over gravel every time.

Is gravel a turn-off for them when breeding? :X

Cant say ive ever noticed really, ive had gravel and sand and can say ive had spawns from plecs in both. I wouldn't really worry to much about them breeding, im presuming you are buying fry/young fish?. By the time they are ready to breed you would probably have changed.. decor, substrate and possibly tank by then lol.
