Hey Paul my tests are Cl2=0 pH=6.8 KH=3.d Gh=4.d NO2=1 NO3=25 every thing seems to be fine!!!

Hey Paul my tests are Cl2=0 pH=6.8 KH=3.d Gh=4.d NO2=1 NO3=25 every thing seems to be fine!!!

Well your nitrite is way too high, any nitrite affects the respiration of the fish, which is why your Gourami keeps surfacing to breath. I suggest doing lots of water changes to reduce it to below 0.25ppm. Is it a new tank?
