my pearl gourami is pregnant when i bought it, i set up a new tank for her with lots of live plants and plastic plant but i heard they need to the daddy to do a bubble nest for her. can she do it herself ???
plsss tell me how i can look after my pregnant gourami.

No the mommy cannot build her own bubble nest. That's the job of the dad. If there is no bubble nest built the mom will just loose her eggs and no babies will be born. If you try to get a dad for her it is sometimes hard to do but the pearl gourami dad has a bright orange throat when he is in breeding shape. Also male gouramis have longer less rounded fins than the females. But if you dont get a dad the mom will be fine she just wont have her babies. HTH

She also needs a male to fertilize the eggs, as they are not live bearers.
