:D i just got another tank  (thats 3 now)
its a 20 gallon (and its been set up for 2 months) and i have:

1 dwarf gourami
1 blue gourami
1 gold gourami
1 cory catfish (he's so tiny that it takes me forever to do a head count)

and i know that red tailed black shark can go in a 20gal providing there are no small, or weak fish and there are plenty of hiding places but i would like to know from you guys experience...

will a red tailed black shark get along with gourami? (i know my other shark never touched my angel fish)

and one other question,
this tank has rather large gaps in the lid where the filter and heater are
is there anything around my house i could cover these with (ex. cut out shape of hole in margerine container lid and put it over the gaps?)

Hi

I have one with several types of Gouramis and they get along fine. Since they mostly inhabit different areas of the tank they do not bother each other. I even keep my shark with fish like White Cloud Moutain Minnows and Dianios. I think it comes down to the individual fish on how aggressive he will be. Most will chase other fish every now and agian but in my experience never causing any harm.

You should also get some more Corys as they like the company of their own kind and are happiest in groups of four or more.

don't worry i plan to get one or two more cory
the store was out of bronze/green/pepper!
all the had was albino
i'll have more by the end of the week!
