Gourami Social Politics, What To Do Next?

hi guys, ive got a large, blue gourami, hes a moody little bugger, i got him an opaline girlfriend and he beat her to near death before my friend took her, when hes chilled hes a very pale blue/white and you can see his 2 spots, when i got him i though he was a two spot but when i introduce the net for any reason at a or my loach comes out, he turnes bright blud/purpe and goes mad.
basically do i get a pair of honey gouramis? do you think hell leave them allone? i doubt it but hes in a bigger tank with more enrichment blah blah blah on the whole i think hes more chilled. he leaves all the other fish allone, even the tyre track eel and the bala sharks, id really like some more surface swimmers appart from him and my danios can anyone recommend an alternative thats a bit bigger then my danios?

By sounds of things you have a 3 spot gourami, they are in my experience really territorial, I doubt you will be able to add any other gourami in there with him.
