Yesterday i spotted him stuck in the rocks, so I pulled one of the rocks off him and i'm not sure if one fell on him, but i took it off him very quickly. Then I noticed he had one of his fins nipped. So I took him out of the tank and put him in the breeding tank, floating at the top. He turned very gray last night, and his eyes were turning black and I thought he would die by tomorrow, but I woke up at 6am and he is still alive, as if he is exhausted. He has his colours back, but it looks like his fin is ripped at th back and to his side. He doesn't swim that much, but when i open the top of the tank he was swimming on his side, but he now seems to be swimming a bit better, but still is laying down. I'm not sure what to do

Some Melafix would help heel that fin and make him feel better

I would leave him in the tank for a few days, maybe even a few weeks until he recovers. Have you noticed any particular fish bullying him?

I would also do melefix and also watch for different swimming and breathing habits. If its a rock or something that fell on him there is really nothing you can give him, because we cant bandage fish or really take them to a vet and see whats wrong. I fish there were fish DRs. that we could take them to, but guess not. Anyways HTH
