I am having a hard time distinguishing the sex of the gourami I was told it was a male and female. The bigger and rounder bodied one has been chasing the smaller one around. No actual damage has ever happened it’s been 3 weeks. It is a planted aquarium

Both of your dwarf gouramis are male. Female dwarf gouramis are silver, with the exception of the cobalt blue female dwarf gouramis that are slightly paler blue than the males. But your dwarf gouramis are common coloured dwarf gouramis and the female should be silver all over.

I see that’s what I have feared I will have to return one of them while there’s still time one male gourami it is. Thanks for your help!
